Significance of Nail Art in Men. From the 2000’s to 2022, Nail painting in men has been incredibly popular, more so now than ever. Nail art in men started in the “emo” scene around the early 2000’s men enjoyed painting their nails black in significance of being “emo” or “goth”. Men painting nails has been made equivalent to “Rebelling against accepted standards” and has become incredibly popular over the years, more so with the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, men were experimenting with painting their nails more than ever, and many continued to do so afterwards. Nail art is incredibly favoured over in many Asian cultures, especially with the rise of K-Pop music and aesthetics. Not only is this trend prominent in other cultures, it has become attractive to many famous male celebrities, such as A$AP Rocky, Machine Gun Kelly, and Harry Styles.
